The first and largest dome was completed when bone relics of Gautama Buddha were enshrined in the central locking stone of the dome on October 29, 2006, making it the world's largest hollow stone masonry structure containing relics of the Buddha. The center of the Global Vipassana Pagoda contains the world's largest stone dome built without any supporting pillars. Also you will head to the Kanheri Caves, located at Sanjay Gandhi National park in Borivali East. (Borivali is a very popular suburb on the western line). Kanheri caves are a group of rock cut momuments located deep within the green forest of Sanjay Gandhi national park. The Kanheri caves are famous for the old Buddhist monks and are signs of the Buddhist influence in India.
