Mani’s lunch home was started and belongs to Sri. V.S. Mani Iyer, a Keralite Tamil Brahmin Iyer. This is a south Indian restaurant. Many special counters are there at the restaurant for pure ghee sweets and savories like Mysorepak, Bundi laaddu, rava laaddu, rose jangiri, badusha, wheat halwa, badam halwa, kaju barfi, kaju katri, badam Pista roll, coconut barfi, etc…
It also provides various types of mixtures such as Kara sevai, Kara bhoondi omapadi, and ribbon pakodda.
The most famous sweet amongst all these is the Mysorepak which is highly praised and appreciated by all, far and near.
The Manis Lunch Home has also been awarded by the testimony of honor “gold medal 2004 for South Indian cuisine”. This was awarded by the Society of special executive magistrates on 26th January 2004. It has another branch which was opened in 2002 at Model Co-op Hostel Society. It serves an entire gamut of authentic south Indian delicious fine cuisine, breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner.
