Yoga Vidya Niketan (YVN) was founded in 1974 by a small group of Yoga lovers under the dynamic leadership of Shri Sadashiv P. Nimbalkar. He is honored with Padma Shri Award 2004 and Navi Mumbai Ratna Award 2002-03. Its main objective is to make available the ancient heritage, the Yoga Shastra, to every door step and spread the knowledge and the technique of performing Yoga Practices for attaining and maintaining positive health.
It has designed easy-to-perform yogic courses which are based on the ancient principles of yoga, blended with the modern tenets of Physiology, Bio-chemistry and Health. The courses are: Diploma in Yogic Education (Teachers' Training Course), Diploma in Yogic Therapy and Diploma in Natural Living and Naturopathy.
It also conduct activities like Summer Course, Exhibition & Workshops, Residential Yoga Teachers Training Course, Lecture - Cum – Demonstrations, Awareness Programme on Natural Living & Naturopathy, Therapeutic & Family Welfare Oriented Courses, Consultation for Health Problems, Workshops for Yoga awareness, Naturopathy Treatment & Yogic Therapy Consultation. It also offers advice for the alleviation of functional and psychosomatic disorders and other health related problems.
It has various branches in India: Dadar, Navi Mumbai, Pune, Satara, Nagpur and other countries: USA, Canada, Thailand and Singapore.
