Description
Your tour starts as soon as you book it. You will receive a confirmation email immediately. One day before the tour, your guide will contact you via WhatsApp. The driver and guide will pick you up from your hotel in a fully air-conditioned car.
As you drive through the city, your guide will share stories and history of Mumbai. Once you reach South Mumbai, the sightseeing begins.
First, visit the Gateway of India, built during the British era for royal visits and major events. Right next to it is the iconic Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, Mumbai’s first five-star hotel, overlooking the beautiful Bombay Harbour.
Next, visit Oval Maidan, the first cricket ground built by the British in Mumbai. Nearby, you will also see the Rajabai Clock Tower, often called the Big Ben of Mumbai, the University of Mumbai, and the beautiful Art Deco buildings from the 1920s and 1930s.
Then head to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), one of Mumbai’s most stunning railway stations, known for its Gothic and Indian architectural styles. Your guide will explain its rich history.
After that, visit Crawford Market, one of the oldest markets in Mumbai, where you can see fresh fruits, vegetables, dry fruits, and even pets all in one place.
Continue to Marine Drive, a popular seaside boulevard where locals relax and enjoy the sea breeze.
Next, visit Mani Bhavan, the house of Mahatma Gandhi in Mumbai, now converted into a museum where you can spend some peaceful time.
Then drive through Malabar Hill, one of the most expensive areas in Mumbai, also known as the “Beverly Hills of Mumbai.” Visit the Hanging Gardens, known for their greenery and city views.
Finally, visit Dhobi Ghat, the world’s largest open-air laundry, where you can see traditional washermen cleaning thousands of clothes every day.
After the tour, you will be dropped back to your hotel with great memories and a better understanding of Mumbai.
