You will be travelling by local train with a guide from your meeting point to a small town in the outskirts of Mumbai called Vasai which is a historic coastal town known for its rich Portuguese heritage. It features landmarks like the majestic Vasai Fort and centuries-old churches. The town also preserves traditional art forms like wood carving by local artisans. Vasai Fort, originally called Bassein Fort, is a historic fort built by the Portuguese in the 16th century. Explore the Ancient Portuguese-style churches, arches, and watchtowers, Intricate stone masonry, old water tanks, and granaries and enjoy the Panoramic view of the Arabian Sea and Vasai Creek. It is popular spot for photo shoots, film shoots, and historical walks. Later visit the one of the oldest church in Vasai. Originally built by the Portuguese, the church was rebuilt and upgraded over centuries and is now the Cathedral of the Diocese of Vasai. The church has Baroque-style architecture with whitewashed facades and symmetrical towers along with Stained glass windows, arched wooden doors, and has a colonial charm.
